A newly wedded bride has filed a petition with Multan district and sessions judge to seek protection from police harassment. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, petitioner Waheeda Arman said she had got married with Nazar Hussain on her free will one-and-an-half month ago and was living a satisfied life with him.
She said that her father Allah Diwaya Khokhar wanted to marry her with an old man and she had refused the proposal. She contended that Dunyapur Sadar police, on the complaint of her father, have registered a case against her husband for kidnapping her.
