The lineup of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports was unchanged at 46, the same number as last week, shipping agent Williams said on Thursday. It said in a weekly report that 39 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, up from 38 last week.
In north-eastern Brazil, there were no vessels at Maceio or at Recife, compared with one vessel at each port a week ago.
The center-south, which accounts for 88 percent of national output, started cutting a forecast record cane crop in March, which will continue until December.
Santos port accounted for 87 percent of sugar tonnage being loaded in Brazilian ports.
