Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said the recent political crisis was just due to confusion and as the confusion was cleared the crisis was also over. He was addressing a dinner hosted in his honour by Mian Zahid Hussain, chairman, All Pakistan Lubricant Manufacturers Association on Saturday.
"Both provincial and federal governments share the same objectives of developing the country and providing better living to the masses manifest from the way the recent crisis were solved", said Ibad.
Consistency, sustainability, and stability of policies were very important for progress and achieving success and the present government was keen to maintain ongoing policies, he added. The governor said since the Karachi was revenue-engine of Pakistan, the federal and provincial governments were focussing on developing the metropolis.
Speaking about electricity outage, he said the government was in constant touch with the KESC management that has sought one-year time to revamp electricity management system. The KESC plans to generate 800 MW power by the end of next year, he added. Earlier, Sindh Labour and Industries Minister Adil Siddiqui, Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui, Mian Zahid Hussain and S.M. Muneer also spoke.
