1000-kg meat of dead animal seized

Veterinary Officer Chiniot, Fakhar Kazmi seized 1,000kg meat of dead animals from the general bus stand. The Revenue deputy district officer received information that some butchers were purchasing meat of sick and dead animals to dispatch it to Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
On the directions of the Revenue DDO, the veterinary officer raided and seized the meat when butcher Mukhtar Ahmad was dispatching it to Islamabad. Fakhar fined Rs 5,000 to the butcher.
