The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) will hold elections for its 11 Executive Committee seats in mid of September. The RCCI Public Relations Officer (PRO), Qaiser Satti told APP here that those eleven executive committee members, including five full members and six associate members would retire by the end of September.
To fill these vacancies, the RCCI management had decided to hold elections for the said seats on September 16. He said, election programme and nomination papers have been issued on August 7 and final voter-list would be displayed on August 26. The final date for filing of nominations would be September 02.
After scrutiny and withdrawal of nomination papers, the final list of the candidates taking part in the elections would be displayed on September 09.
Polling would be held on September 16 and results would also be announced the same day, the PRO said. He said the new elected Executive Committee would elect President, Senior Vice President and Vice President for next year on September 21. The Annual General Meeting of the Chamber would be held on September 23.
