The two-day training workshop for police officers jointly sponsored by the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) concluded on Monday.
Addressing the concluding session of the workshop, CPLC chief, Saqib Shahzad asked the police officers to respect the people, who visited police stations. He said no doubt that the police were under pressure but they should try their optimum to provide justice and relief to the people.
Speaking on the occasion, NCHR Executive Director, Rao Zafar Iqbal advocate said it was the fundamental duty of the police to fight crimes and not to interfere in private life of the citizens.
Madina Town Special Police Officer, Raja Muhammad Riaz, in his address, said the training imparted to police officers at the workshop would go a long-way for changing their attitude towards the general Public.
He stressed upon the police officers to co-ordinate with the people for eradicating crimes and social ills from the society.
