National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has issued 52 million computerised national identity cards (CNICs) so far and was working extensively to ensure provision of these cards to the whole population within minimum possible time.
Minister of State for Interior, Zafar Iqbal Warriach responding a calling attention notice in the National Assembly on Wednesday said that Nadra has set up 326 swift registration centres while 103 mobile units were busy in issuing these cards throughout the country. He said Nadra has the capacity to issue 2.5 million cards per month.
