Askari Bank to achieve ISO 27001 certification

At the inaugural session of ITCN Asia 2006, ICIT, chief guest Shaharyar Ahmad, President & Chief Executive Askari Commercial Bank Ltd announced Askari Bank's decision to go for ISO 27001 Certification, thereby making Askari Bank the first bank in Pakistan that will achieve this Certification, says a press release.
ISO 27001 is a stringent information security standard recognised and respected the world over. ISO 27001 certification will give Askari Bank a means for providing its clients, partners and regulators with proof that it adheres to an internationally recognised set of information security controls and a certifiable framework for protecting information assets.-PR
