Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were firm early on Wednesday, in quiet consolidation trading noted after Tuesday's fall to a six-week low, traders said. Corn fell into or near oversold technical levels, leaving open the potential at least a mild short-covering bounce during Wednesday's trade, they said.
At 11:03 am CDT (1603 GMT), CBOT corn was unchanged to 2-1/2 cents per bushel higher, with September up 2-1/2 at $2.38-1/4 per bushel.
