University of the Punjab has decided to provide more facilities to the candidates applying for admissions in various departments of the university.
Special bus service had also been started to provide transport facility to the candidates coming to the Punjab University campuses for the purpose of admissions from various areas of Lahore. Shuttle bus service had also been started in Punjab University New Campus to facilitate the mobility of candidates in various departments.
A spokesman of the University said that it had also been decided that if any department, which will not be taking entry test, the bank draft already submitted by the candidates in such departments will be returned for refund of the amount. Disabled people selected on merit will provide free education in the university and the candidates from earthquake affected areas would be given special fee concession.
After the decision of the admission committee that the departments/Colleges/Institutes/Centres should also issue and receive the forms from candidates in person the candidates in large number obtained and submitted forms in various teaching departments on Friday, he added.
The Entry Test for M.A/M. Sc. admission, which was to be held from August 15, will now be starting from 20th August. The departments, which will opt for entry test, receive the forms up till the last two days before the conduct of test. The roll No slip for test will be issued to the candidates at the time of receiving the forms in person. In case of forms received through mail the roll No slip will be issued two hours before the entry test.
