The German Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Gunther Mulack visited Siemens Pakistan recently and after touring the industrial complex in SITE and attending a briefing about Siemens operations in Pakistan lauded the efforts of Siemens and said it was the flag bearer of Germany in Pakistan.
The German ambassador accompanied by Helmut Holzheur Consul and Deputy Head of Mission in Karachi were warmly welcomed upon their arrival by the Managing Director and CEO of Siemens Pakistan Sohail Wajahat H. Siddiqui and the CFO Siemens Pakistan Gerhard Wilcke.
The German ambassador was given a briefing about the operations of Siemens Pakistan in the company board room and later he toured the industrial complex which he found very impressive and of a very high standard.
The managing director of Siemens Pakistan in his welcome speech on the occasion said that Siemens has a long association with the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent and has always been a partner of Pakistan in its journey of progress and building of its infrastructure.
Siddiqui said that not only was Siemens Pakistan saving valuable foreign exchange through transfer of technology and local production but also earning foreign exchange through export of engineering goods and services. He thanked the German ambassador for his visit and said this will greatly motivate the employees of the company.-PR
