A member of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has served a legal notice to Speaker National Assembly for allowing a move pertaining to serving of one dish in marriage ceremonies.
Tariq Aziz, former member executive committee SCBA contended that Supreme Court of Pakistan had imposed ban on serving meals in marriage ceremonies, hence this move tantamount to contempt of the court. If the assembly proceeds on the move and gets passed any amendment against the apex court decision, he said he would approach the court through contempt of court application. He also sent copies of the legal notice to all the members of the Parliament.
