A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has served a legal notice to Secretary Health Punjab asking him to give details pertaining to action taken to check adulteration in eatables within fortnight; otherwise he will file a contempt of court petition against him before the Lahore High Court (LHC).
M.D. Tahir in his legal notice contended that the LHC in a petition filed by him in 2003 had directed the respondent secretary to take necessary steps to stop adulteration in eatables and submit quarterly reports to the court. The court had also directed him to send a copy of the said reports to the petitioner also.
