Soft red winter wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade fell to one-month lows early on Friday on bearish data in the US Department of Agriculture's August crop reports, traders said. Spillover weakness from steep declines in corn added pressure.
As of 11:30 am CDT (1630 GMT), CBOT September wheat was down 10 cents at $3.76-1/2 after hitting $3.73-1/4, the lowest spot wheat price since July 14. The contract broke through support at its 200-day moving average of $3.79-1/2. Deferred months were down 9 to 14 cents.
