Judicial Magistrate Multan Abdul Haq Jabba has sent 88 people to prison on judicial remand for two weeks on Saturday they were deported from Muscat and the court ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) authorities to apprehend the culprits involved in human smuggling and their agents.
FIA authorities have assured the court that network of human smugglers would be broken immediately and we are getting basic information about the human smugglers and their agents.
They narrated their tales of woes to the pressmen and they advised the job seekers abroad not to go to abroad on fake documents or unlawfully. 65 of them belonged to Dera Ghazi Khan district, eight from Rajanpur, five from Muzaffargarh, four from Rahimyarkhan, three from Lodhran and one each from Pakpattan, Leiah and Multan.
They said that they were serving in Karachi on daily bases. Some agents approached us and offered to send them to Muscat against Rs 15,000. They took them to Iran by road then they were left at the bay of Muscat where police arrested them and tortured them. One of them died in Iran on way to Muscat but smugglers threw his body in the ocean.
