The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 33 Division, Major General Haroon Aslam, has said that Balochistan will soon become a symbol of security and integrity. Addressing the closing ceremony of Pre-ISSB training classes, arranged for the youth here on Saturday.
He said those classes were being held only in Balochistan, which were meant to create awareness among the candidates about the tests of the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB).
He said youths in different areas of Balochistan were inclined to join Pak Army and in the near future people would listen names like Brigadier Mengal, Colonel Magsi and General Marri and Bugti.
He said the training classes, commenced from July 10, in which 127 candidates from different parts of the province, including Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Nasirabad, Zhob, Pishin, Chaman, Panjgur and other areas, participated. Initially, the classes were to be run for three weeks, but the time was extended to two more weeks, as candidates showed keen interest.
He said there were equal opportunities for youths of every class in army. Moreover, merit and hard work were the only priorities, which could be the basis of promotion, he added.
Focusing on establishment of cantonments in Balochistan, he rejected the negative propaganda by some elements, and said that cantonments were for security and integrity of a country. Major General Haroon said the government had launched mega projects in the province for development and prosperity of the local people.
