Unidentified armed peoples have kidnapped Muhammad Siddique Brohi and Qadir Bux Brohi, the eyewitnesses of Rasool Bux Brohi's alleged murder by the Lyari Task Force. The two eyewitnesses were on their way to Nawabshah for hearing of the case on Saturday morning.
Two eyewitnesses, accompanied by father, wife, maternal uncle and a cousin of deceased Rasool Bux Brohi were intercepted and kidnapped by the armed men at Hyderabad bypass near Rajputana Hospital, their lawyer said.
Advocate Riazat Ali Saharr told PPI that he along with Rasool Bux Brohi's father Ismail, mother Pathani Bibi, widow Lal Khatoon and others, was going to Nawabshah for the hearing of case when armed men intercepted and tried to stop them going to Nawabshah. On refusal they took all the Brohi family members with them at gunpoint.
The lawyer said he rushed to the nearby Hatri police station to seek help but they told that the place of incident falls in the jurisdiction of Baldia police station but there too the police refused to lodge a case saying that the father, mother and widow of deceased Rasool Bux Brohi have appeared in the Nawabshah court.
Riazat said it appears from what the Baldia police told that two eyewitnesses were kidnapped so that they could not appear in the court. When contacted, the DPO Jamshoro said he was not aware of any such incident.
