At least five children drowned in flood water near village Shumeer in the jurisdiction of Gomal university police station on Sunday, police said. According to details, the ill-fated children belong to the same family of Fazal-Rehman a resident of Shumeer village.
The kids were going to give lunch to their father working in the field while crossing the drain, the children were swept away by flood-water. The dead were identified as Majid (10), Samia (8), Mesal Khan (6), Sariya (10), and Sabir (8).
