Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) has launched a "Legal services" to resolve the problems of the trading community and create awareness regarding legal rights and liabilities in Sargodha.
The inaugural ceremony of Smeda's legal services was held in Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industries, which was attended by a large number of traders.
Addressing on the occasion, Regional Business Co-ordinator Sheikh Kashif Mukhtar said Smeda offers free in-house counselling and reliable legal assistance through its legal service panel, training courses, seminars and booklets.
He said Smeda had already formed legal panels in all important cities of the country for guidance regarding income tax, sales tax, labour laws and other related issues. "Sargodha has a great potential to establish a large size agro-based industry particularly in Kino production," he added.
Khasif Mukhtar stated that theses forums of legal experts and business community can suggest amendments in existing laws and other legislative measures besides help guide in the simplification of procedure with a view to eliminating procedural corruption.
