The Federal Minister for Water and Power, Liaquat Ali Jatoi has said that no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz would fail badly because government enjoys enough majority in the Parliament.
In his statement on Tuesday, Minister said that the Opposition has been trying to launch a movement against the democratically elected government for the last four years but it miserably failed to get any public response. He said that no-trust motion would also be a flop show by the opposition as the people of Pakistan have already rejected their politics.
He said that Pakistan is making progress day by day due to the economic, social and public oriented policies of the President General Pervez Musharraf and the Prime Minister.
He said, due to economic reforms of the present government, there is record increase in the foreign investment, foreign exchange reserves and revolution in the education, health and social sector.
He said that Prime Minister deserves only vote of confidence due to his good policies for the country and the masses and August 23 will again repose confidence on him.
Jatoi said that the government under the dynamic leadership of General Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz has strengthened the democratic institutions and was fully committed to the welfare and betterment of the people.
The Parliament would complete its tenure first time and the opposition should honour the public mandate and wait till next general elections.
He advised the opposition to concentrate on strengthening of democracy in the country instead of utilising their energies on objectives, which can not be achieved.
