President General Pervez Musharraf has conferred the award of 'Sitara-i-Eisaar' on China Red Cross Society. The award has been given in recognition to the meritorious services rendered by the China Red Cross Society during the disaster relief operation of October 2005 earthquake in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and NWFP.
Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Salman Bashir presented the award of Sitara-i-Eisaar to the Society on behalf of the president of Pakistan, in an investiture ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Beijing.
