The anti terrorist court (ATC) while hearing the Musharraf suicide case has sought explanation from the superintendent of Central Jail Adiala that why was the accused Shazia Mubashar put in solitary confinement and not allowed the meetings.
The judge of the Anti Terrorist Court, Muhammad Tariq Abbasi, resumed the hearing of the suicide bombing case and adjourned the hearing till August 28, for non presentation of the charge sheet against accused Shazia Mubashar by prosecution.
Learned judge took serious note of the application of the accused pleading that she was put in solitary confinement and no one was being allowed to meet her. She said that jail manual is not being imposed on her and she is not provided any facility in jail.
ATC judge has asked the jail superintendent to file the reply before court as to why accused is not being treated as prisoner and why she was kept in solitary confinement. It is worth mentioning here that President General Pervez Musharraf has survived two suicide attacks within a short period of 11 days in December 2003 in which more than 20 people lost their lives.
