The Azad Kashmir cabinet called upon the world community to immediately use its diplomatic and political influence to help restart the peace process in South Asia, stalled by arrogant Indian attitude, with focus on the urgency of resolving Kashmir dispute.
The following resolution was unanimously passed by the Azad Kashmir Cabinet, which met in Kashmir House on Saturday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan.
Meeting called upon the world community to immediately use its diplomatic and political influence to help restart the peace process in South Asia, stalled by arrogant Indian attitude, with focus on the urgency of resolving Kashmir dispute.
Meeting reiterated the determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to continue their legitimate political struggle to realise their rights to self-determination under all circumstances and conditions.
It once again clear to the world community that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want a peaceful negotiated solution of Kashmir dispute which satisfies the basic aspiration of the Kashmiris across the Line of Control. Meeting condemned the recent unprovoked firing by Indian occupation forces in Abbaspur area Azad Kashmir wounding seriously three innocent civilians.
Meeting warmly welcomed the political stand enunciated on Kashmir by President General Pervez Musharraf for demilitarisation, self-governance and joint management of State aimed at seeking a peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute through negotiations among Pakistan, Kashmiris and India.
