Governor Punjab Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) chairing a meeting reviewed database for health screening of school children prepared by paediatrics department of Fatima Jinnah Medical College here on Saturday.
The meeting was told that provincial government under the health sector reform had reposed responsibility on doctors serving in basic health units to make monthly inspection of schools within their working jurisdiction and pinpoint children suffering from serious diseases.
Punjab governor showed his satisfaction that health screening of 1,800 school children of Governor House had completed successfully. Maqbool asked authorities to vaccinate children in far-flung areas for TB disease. Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College Dr Akbar Chaudhry and senior doctors were also present on the occasion.
