Life in Hyderabad was struggling to return to normalcy as most of the areas remain flooded by water from torrential rains which lashed the city on Thursday and Friday night. District Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jameel visited the various areas and directed the concerned agencies to drain out water as soon as possible.
The city received more than 70-mm rain during the last two days. A large number of people were stranded in flooding in almost all the areas of Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hyderabad city.
The city also witnessed traffic jams on main routes while the traffic police remained busy to restore a smooth flow of traffic. The civic facilities including electricity, telecommunication and water supply were also badly affected by rain and the concerned agencies were trying to restore the same as soon as possible.
