Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim approved constitution of eight-member Sindh Industrial Infrastructure Development Board (SIIDB). He observed that the formation of the Board would help improve the existing structure of different industrial estates in the province besides restoring the inactive industrial units and identification of projects to be initiated in Sindh keeping in view the future needs, according to a statement here on Sunday.
This will also help installation of Combined Effluent Treatment Plant which is considered important to meet the standard of World Trade Organisation (WTO) and NEQ, he pointed out.
Provincial Minister for Labour, Transport and Industries Adil Siddiqui will be the Chairman of Sindh Infrastructure Development Board.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also granted approval for giving financial and administrative authority to the Department of Land Utilisation.
According to a statement, this step would help reduce increasing burden of work on the department besides expediting the disposal of various matters and improving its overall performance.
