A key stakeholders input workshop on catalyst intervention was held at the GC University Lahore on Tuesday and attended by heads of all the departments of the university. Akida Management Consultant President, Haider Zaidi, speaking on the occasion described certain parameters of quality in education and different phases of quality enhancement cell (QEC).
With reference to effective management and educational activities, he said concerted efforts were needed to evolve a comprehensive plan for upgrading the standards of education and a kind of mechanism is required for elevating the persisting academia of the university.
He further highlighted various aspects opted successfully by the developed nations in order to materialise quality assurance in all fields, by quoting Japan, which has the second world economy.
Earlier, Director Academic Links, GC University Lahore, Iram Sohail hoped that the interactive discussion of the university's faculty and administrative staff would eventually help in augmenting better policy planning, which would further enhance reforms in higher education. Later, different groups were formed to evaluate and enhance the level of quality assurance in education and administration work of the university.
