Pakistan pace trio of Amir, Rahat and Wahab proved too hot to handle for the as they topple down the Cricket Australia XI, in the first innings of Pakistan only warm up Test match.
The trio managed to pick three wickets a piece, leaving CA XI dented on 114 all out. At the end of the second day Pakistan were leading by 145 runs with 9 wickets remaining, after opener Sami Aslam was lbw by Mark Steketee at 12.
The onslaught was initiated by Muhammad Amir in the last session of the first day as the left armer was able to find considerable swing on the tracks of Cazaly's Stadium at Cairns. He picked up three vital wickets leaving CA XI bleeding at a horrendous four for three at first day stumps.
CA XI position did not improve in the second day as the team middle order crumble against Rahat Ali, as he finished of the middle order, with vice captain Azhar Ali too picking up a wicket of Matthew Short.
Pakistan;s Wahab Riaz then get rid of the tail enders, as CA XI were all out for a meagre 114.
