Gas supply to Uch Power Plant near Dera Murad Jamali (Nasirabad district) was suspended in an explosion Tuesday-Wednesday night. According to details, unknown terrorists blew up 24 inch dia gas pipeline supplying gas to Uch Power Plant from Uch gas field near Dera Murad Jamali along Sibi-Jacobabad section of the National Highway in the small hours of Wednesday.
Several feet piece of gas pipeline was destroyed. After explosion, gas caught fire, which was put off after some time. Due to explosion, supply of gas was suspended to the plant. However, power generation continued from alternative sources.
