An Envisioning Conference is being organised by Sindh Ombudsman Secretariat on September 02 at a local hotel. Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, Chief Justice, Sindh High Court will inaugurate the conference.
The conference has been envisaged as a result of strategic rethink initiated by Sindh Ombudsman Yousuf Jamal to impact further improvement in the work-mechanism of the office of Provincial Ombudsman. According to the Ombudsman's office, the objective is to create a sense of acceptance and ownership, among senior and middle management, of their statutory obligations.
The Ombudsman's ongoing restructuring and expansion programme is designed to achieve the twin objective of increasing the outreach and reducing the turn-around time in the dispensation of administrative justice. A consultants' team is advising the Provincial Ombudsman in framing a more effective redressal mechanism for the aggrieved.
