Akhuwat, a social organisation, will launch its Qarz-e-Hasna programme in Rawalpindi from August 25 by opening its branches in various areas of the city to help the needy. According to Akhuwat sources, the launching ceremony of Akhuwat will be held at a local hotel on Friday.
Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) will be the chief guest on the occasion. Among others, the function will be attended by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry's President Jalil Ahmed Malik and Akhuwat Executive Director Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib.
It may be recalled that Akhuwat is a social organisation, which collects donations solely from the local donors, philanthropists and well-off people of the society and utilises it in an organised manner to help the poor families.
