According to a report of the flood forecasting division, the river Indus was in medium flood at Kotri and was rising. According to the report, the inflows and outflows of the river Indus at Tarbela were 229,300 cusecs each. The inflows and outflows of the river Kabul at Nowshera were 46,200 cusecs each.
The inflows and outflows of the river Indus at Chashma were 299,400 cusecs and 275,200 cusecs, respectively. The inflows and outflows of the river Jhelum at Mangla were 29,200 cusecs and 32,300 cusecs, respectively. The inflows and outflows of the river Chenab at Marala were 99,200 cusecs and 65,400 cusecs, respectively.
According to meteorological analysis, yesterday''s monsoon low over western Behar has weakened and weak monsoon current from Arabian Sea is reaching Punjab up to 3,000 feet. This weather pattern is likely to cause scattered rain over the upper catchments of all the major rivers along with north and north-eastern Punjab.
