The enumeration staff of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started distribution and collection of Form-II, the process to be completed by September 11, 2006.
The delivery and collection of filled forms from the households was started under the supervision of registration officers on the directions of Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan. According to information, the enumeration staff has completed the process in many areas.
ECP has asked the general public and households that have not reached by the enumeration staff to inform the provincial election commissioner Sindh at Block No 44-A, Pakistan Secretariat, so that necessary remedial measures could be taken. Deputy election commissioner Karachi division may also be contacted in this regard on phone No 021-9203322.
The provincial election commissioner has appealed to the masses to cooperate with the enumeration staff and forms delivered at their residences might be returned back duly filled with the particulars of all eligible voters over 18 years of age and possessing CNICs or NICs as soon as possible.
The commission clarified that this data would be used for compiling fresh computerised election rolls for 2006 and as soon as these new rolls are published the previous rolls would be of no legal affect.
