A formerly unknown sketch drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci, has just been discovered and valued at 12.6m after being evaluated and was brought to light by a retired French doctor.
The accidental discover was initialed missed out on by Thadde Prate, director of old master pictures at the Parisian auction house and was pulled out by the auctioneer Tajan in Paris.
After having consulted with other experts, the identity of the drawing was confirmed and was officially unveiled in Paris today.
The sketch is that one of eight drawings of the late Martyred Saint Sebastian and makes this the first instance Leonardo surfaced like this since the year 2000.
Not much is known about the owner of the drawing other than that he hails from France and his identity is kept a secret.
