The volume of this sector was 19,282,600. BR Cement Index was the third most active sector with a turnover of 32,961,400. It saw a rise of 39.59, or 2.45 percent, closing at 1,654.27.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 3,578.36 with a net positive change of 72.05, or percentage change of 2.05. The turnover for this sector was 62,847,000. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,026.04 with a rise of 22.03, or 2.19 percent. The turnover for this sector was 5,317,000, which was again the lowest among BRIndices.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the second most active sector with a turnover of 57,823,700. It closed at 2,038.80 with a net positive change of 30.65, or percentage change of 1.53.
