The dollar posted fresh gain of one paisa versus the rupee in the interbank market on Thursday amid higher demand for the greenback, dealers said. According to the market sources, the rupee is under pressure due to strong demand for dollars, in the meantime, improved supply of the US currency helped the rupee minimise its losses.
It is likely that the rupee may not be able show its strength versus the dollar due to higher demand for the import bills. The dollar depicted mixed trend versus the major currencies in the global markets, they said.
