KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) granted, on NAB request, a period of one-month to the National Accountability Court (NAB) to complete its report against Ghulam Qadir Palijo.
A two-judge bench on Tuesday heard a petition filed by Ghulam Qadir Palijo against the NAB for harassing him in an alleged corruption inquiry.
The petitioner informed the court that he is innocent and the bureau is harassing him in the name of a fake and fabricated corruption inquiry.
He told the court that the bureau had commenced an inquiry into the same matter in 2005 and closed it for want of evidences.
The NAB officials informed the court that the bureau could not collect appropriate evidences against the petitioner in the days gone but it require some time to complete the inquiry. Upon that the court granted a one-month period to the NAB.
