The "Kunny Team" clinched 1st position during the second stage of "The Tour of the Karakoram International Cycle Race" held on Saturday. The winning team covered 60km of distance from Naran to Babusar Pass consuming a collective time of 12 hours, 52 minutes and 41 seconds.
The team comprised of Andy Ried (New Zealand), David Kompiel (Poland) and Murad Ali (Pakistan). James Ouchterlony (Scotland) grabbed 1st position in men's individual event.
He finished the distance in 3 hrs, 33 minutes and 22 seconds. Tim Vincent (New Zealand) finished second with 3:46:02, whereas Andy Reid (New Zealand) stood 3rd by consuming 3:52:09. Representing Pakistan, Murad Ali was able to secure 12TH position. In the Women's individual event Elizabeth McClusky (Ireland) claimed 1st position (4:41:47), while Britta Martin (Germany) and Leda Cox (UK) appeared on the 2nd and 3rd podium of the victory stand.-PR
