The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has announced tendering resignations from the Senate, National Assembly and Balochistan Assembly. BNP president Sardar Akhtar Mengal made the announcement while addressing a rally here, on Sunday.
The BNP has one Senator, Sanaullah Baloch; one MNA, Rauf Mengal; and two MPAs, Akhtar Lango and Akbar Mengal. Senator Nawab Ayaz Jogezai of PMAP, MPA Sardar Sanaullah Zehri of National Party, ANP Balochistan president Commander Khudaidad, PPP Balochistan president Lashkari Raisani, Tehrik Insaf Balochistan president Dost Muhammad Agha, PML-N additional general-secretary Naseebullah Bazai and JWP vice-president Muhammad Rafiq Khosa also spoke on the occasion.
The rally was taken out to condemn the killing of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, not handing over dead body to his family and against the army operation.
It started from Manan chowk where small processions from different parts joined the main rally. The rally was lead by Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Lashkari Raisani, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, Senator Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Arbab Zahir Kasi, Ayaz Swati and many others.
Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, addressing participants of the rally, said we don't want to keep our relationship with Pakistan; therefore, we have decided to resign from the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assembly.
He severely criticised the governor and chief minister of Balochistan and said the operation was started on the recommendation of the cabinet. He said we will not sit in those assemblies where our members were not allowed to pray for our Shuhada. Several resolutions were also passed and were unanimously supported by the participants of the rally.
