The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said it is willing to revise the itinerary for its home series against the West Indies this year. The PCB had initially rejected requests to delay the start of the tour to allow the West Indies to participate in a $5 million Twenty20 match with South Africa on November 10 in Antigua.
Abbas Zaidi, the director of board operations, said on Monday Pakistan had agreed to shift dates by three to four days to allow West Indies to play the fixture. "We have made our offer. We are willing to bend a bit backwards to accommodate them. But so far they have not got back to us," he said.
Pakistan had cited time constraints for its initial refusal. The West Indies' were scheduled to play three tests and five one-day Internationals from November 7.
"We refused then because we have to organise a Twenty20 domestic tournament from December 24 and the team then immediately leaves for South Africa," said Saleem Altaf, a senior PCB official. "We wanted to give our players some breathing space. But our chairman decided to give them some leeway in view of our good relations with them."
