Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Wednesday said that the broad-based strategic relationship between Pakistan and China is a source of strength and stability for the region. The two countries are actively co-operating in political, diplomatic, social, economic, defence and security fields, he said.
The Prime Minister was talking to Jin Zhuanglong, Vice Minister Commission of Science and Technology and Industry of National Defence (COSTIND) of China, who called on him along with a delegation here at the PM House.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the progress on JF-17 Thunder Aircraft and F-22 Frigate project. He said Pakistan will start receiving the JF-17 Thunder Aircraft during the first quarter of next year. He said that Pakistan is keen to enter into new joint ventures with China in order to promote and enhance the existing collaboration in the field of defence production.
