Pakistan was a secure place to do business, while stable political regime, multinational clients and skilled manpower were the pull factors for SAP, a world leading business software provider, to enter the market here.
President of SAP in South East Asia, Eric McDonald expressed these views while addressing a press conference after the first day of two-day 'SAP Summit 06' on Wednesday. He said that the Western media had created a misperception about the level of security in the country and he realised this after his arrival in the country where his experience had been positive. He was confident with the security level and arrangements.
He observed that there was a huge potential for his company in Pakistan and they would focus on providing services to small and medium enterprises (SME), which was a growing sector in the country. 'The SME market is one of SAP key focus for this year and we would have our SME partners at hand to address queries from visitors. Contrary to popular perception, SAP applications for the SME market is not only for big boys but it is truly affordable and targeted towards the SMEs,' he added.
