China's Liang Wen-chong is delighted with his form going into the final round of the Singapore Open after a three-under par 68 on Saturday left him leading the Asian challenge, four shots off the lead.
Australia's Adam Scott and South Africa's Ernie Els are tied for first on eight under par, three clear of Australia's Brad Kennedy with Liang a further stroke adrift in fourth.
The 28-year-old registered three birdies in his first four holes in a sparkling outward three-under 33, but a two-hour suspension of play due to a threat of lightning appeared to halt his progress. "It has been a good three days so far and I started really well today," Liang told reporters.
"I drove the ball well and putted nicely to reach four under through seven holes but after the (weather) break I lost my momentum and couldn't move further up the leaderboard. "I just couldn't get the feeling going again." Liang has enjoyed a good run of recent results and he is very keen to test himself alongside the world's best. Liang remains positive ahead of Sunday's final round and still believes he has a chance to win.
