Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 83,095 tonnes of cargo including 60,339 tonnes import, 22,756 tonnes export cargo and 4,114 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 68,645 tonnes dry cargo including 54,016 tonnes general cargo; 424 tonnes sugar; 201 tonnes rice; 1,061 tonnes cement; 1,143 tonnes yellow peas; 11,800 tonnes coal and 14,450 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Jade Trader, Corinthiakos, Yong Sheng, Central Park, United Prosperity and MT Shalamar sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Jade Trader, Orient Independence, Conti Harmony, VOC Rose and Tower Bridge are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Conti Harmony, Tower Bridge, Al Farabi, Taviland and Li Le expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Yang Jiang He and Orient Independence are expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Kama Bhum and Thor Captain due to arrive on Saturday, while seven ships namely Rising One, Diana, Veracity, Al Mukhtarah, Mearsk Arkansas, China Star and Tai He are due to arrive on Sunday. Two ships namely Avalon and Natina are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIMA total cargo volume of 100,658 tonnes comprising 81,907 tonnes import and 18,751 tonnes export was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday. Two ships sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while four more ships are expected to sail on Sunday. Four vessels due to arrive on Saturday, while twelve more ships due to arrive on Sunday.
