IUCN Pakistan, Pakistan Clean Air Network (PCAN) and Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia), in collaboration with the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak EPA).
Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (Sepa), City District Government Karachi (CDGK), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank, plan to hold a two-day national urban air quality workshop from September 13-14, 2006 at a local hotel in Karachi.
A press release issued here on Tuesday said Malik Amin Aslam, State Minister for Environment and Noman Saigal Adviser to Sindh chief minister on environment would inaugurate the session while City Nazim Kamal Mustafa would be chief guest for the concluding session. The main purpose of this workshop is to highlight air quality-related issues, with a special focus on integrated traffic management, and to develop strategies for addressing them holistically in collaboration with other partner organisations.-PR
