imageLAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N senior leader Ghulam Dastagir Khan and Federal Minister for Trade, Eng. Khurram Dastagir Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. According to an official handout issued here Monday, Shehbaz Sharif said due to solid economic policies of PML-N government, national economy had improved and new job opportunities were being created with the promotion of investment, trade and economic activities.

He said splendid successes had been achieved on the economic front during the last three and a half years.

He said due to stability of national economy, projects aimed at progress and prosperity of common man were being completed expeditiously, adding work was being carried out on energy projects throughout the country including Punjab and load shedding would be eliminated with the completion of power projects next year.

Shehbaz Sharif said law and order was being improved in Punjab while maximum facilities were being provided to trade sector. He said incentives were being given to private sector so that investment could be promoted in the country.

He said due to effective economic policies of the government, different countries were giving preference to Pakistan for investment resulting in new job and business opportunities.

The Chief Minster said Pakistan would be made a peaceful and economic power under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said 2017 would be the year of completion of development projects and realizing the dream of national progress and prosperity of masses.

Minister for Trade informed Chief Minister Punjab about the measures taken for promotion of trade and investment and said efforts were being made for the promotion of local and foreign investment in the country.
