Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Attique has lauded the Pakistani nation for extending unprecedented support to the suffering Kashmiri people during last year's devastating earthquake.
Addressing a big public gathering here, on Sunday, to mourn the first anniversary of last year deadly earthquake, the AJK Premier said there has been heart and soul relation between the Pakistani and Kashmiri people, saying these relations would always remain.
He hailed President General Pervez Musharraf for his firm resolve and commitment for the cause of Kashmiris. Attique said President Pervez Musharraf has emerged as a great leader at the international arena, as he is symbolic of Pakistan.
The AJK Premier said President Musharraf is a great leader, who represented the Kashmiri people at every forum properly. He said I am thankful to the President for coming Azad Kashmir to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
He paid rich tributes to Pakistan army for carrying out relief and rehabilitation operation and extending support to the Kashmiri people in this difficult hour.
He said life in the quake-hit areas has been revived as offices have been working, schools are back on the track, which shows the resolve and resilience of the Kashmiri people towards the reconstruction and rehabilitation process.
Sardar Attique also announced to construct a tower for commemoration of the victims of the earthquake, saying flags of all those friendly donors countries would be hoisted around the tower and ambassadors would be invited to see themselves how their donations were being used.
