The World Post Day will be observed on October 9 to mark the foundation of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). This day provides an excellent opportunity to familiarise the postal employees and the public with the aims and activities of the UPU, said a news release here on Sunday.
It also helps to make the public aware of the important role of Postal Services in the world-wide communications network.
