Some of the items widely used during Ramazan maintained uppish outlook including gram and gram dal of Punjab besides jute goods and pineapple on the commodity wholesale market during the week ended on October 7,2006. Other commodities moved either ways modestly.
The left over Kirana item (Per 40 Kgs) while pepper climbed higher by Rs 1000 to Rs 9,800, black pepper from Singapore closed lower by Rs 200 to Rs 6800, black pepper from Brazil down Rs 300 to Rs 7200, mace closed lower by Rs 800 to Rs 24,000, big cardamom finished lower by Rs 400 to Rs 10,200, dry ginger down by Rs 100 to Rs 4,300 ,Saunf ended down by Rs 400 to Rs 3600, Peanuts finished up by Rs 200 to Rs 2200, Poppyseed closed lower by Rs 50 to Rs 900, Isbaghol Bhoosi lowered by Rs 500 to Rs 12.500, Star aniseed finished higher by Rs 300 to Rs 5,300 and darchini finished down Rs 100 to Rs 3,900.
Urad from Burma better type up Rs 25 to Rs 1825, inferior type stayed put at previous level, wheat Mexipak lost Rs 5 to Rs 1160, while new type gained same amount to Rs 1175, gram dal Punjab up Rs 100 to Rs 4500 and better type up quoted at Rs 4600, yellow peas Canada rose by Rs 25 to Rs 1600 and better type quoted at Rs 1675, beetle Chana I rose by Rs 175 to Rs 3975 and better type quoted higher at Rs 4100 , beetle 50x50 rose by Rs 150 to Rs 3850 and better quoted at Rs 4000, dal beetle up Rs 100 to Rs 4600 and better type quoted at Rs 4700, Irri, 6 Sindh Shed sharply by Rs 60 to Rs 1220.
The beginning session on Jodia Bazar saw pineapple on the higher move quoted at Rs 145, Polac ended up Rs 20 to Rs 660, Euro broken finished up at Rs 30 to Rs 650, and Malapine full slice went up by Rs 75 to Rs 990.
Elsewhere moong Punjab gained Rs 50 to Rs 3375, masoor Australia up Rs 100 to Rs 3100, masoor Canada up Rs 100 to Rs 3000 makai low type shed Rs 15 to RS 850, better type stayed put at previous level, wheat Mexipak old plus Rs 6 to RS 1166 and new type up the same amount to Rs 1181.
On Tuesday JB had jute goods higher like 20x3 brown (twine) by 50 Paisa to Rs 38.50, 16x3 CRTI Indus up by 50 paisa to Rs 38.50 an d 40x2 up Rs 1 to Rs 38, elsewhere gram garda Punjab inferior type up Rs 150 to Rs 3725. Better type was up Rs 175 to Rs 3825, yellow peas Canada low type rose by Rs 30 to RS 1630, better type up Rs 15 to Rs 1690, yellow dal Canada higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1800 better type was quoted higher at Rs 1850, beetle Chana I low type lost Rs 175 to Rs 3800, and better type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 3900, beetle 50x50 inferior type up Rs 100 to Rs 3750, and better type was quoted higher by Rs 150 to Rs 3850, and Irri 6 Sindh shed Rs 20.
On Thursday gram garda inferior type rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3750 and Irri white rice shed Rs 5 to Rs 885 and better type wa quoted higher at Rs 900. Chemicals were done mixed in JB such as (per Kg) Sodium Sulphate finished higher by 25 paisa to Rs 8.75, Petroleum Jelly sulponic acid soft moved lower by Rs 1 to R s77, hydrosulplinte China 88 pc finished lower by Rs 22 to Rs 44, Acetic acid Taiwan closed lower by Rs 3.20 to Rs 65 and Korean down by Rs 3 to R s65, Hydrogen Peroxide (35 pc) Taiwan closed higher by Rs 1 to Rs 28 and Korea 5 pc wnet up by Rs 1.10 to Rs 26.40.
ON FRIDAY JB SUPPLIED SOME PLASTIC MOULDINGS RATE: HDPE film (per Lb) Saudia 952 closed lower by Rs 1 to Rs 50, Mobil moved same way lost same amount to Rs 50, TR 144 lost Rs 1 to Rs 50, HDPE injection Sabic 200056 shed Rs 1 to Rs 50, lucky lost Rs 1 to Rs 49, HDPE blow Kuwait shed Rs 1 to Rs 48, Marlex shed RS 1 to Rs 48 and Irai lost Rs 1 to Rs 48 LDPE 374 closed higher by Rs 1 to Rs 52, MG 20 moved higher by Rs 1 to Rs 54 and MG 70 gained Rs 1 to Rs 54.
LLDPE W118 closed lower by Rs 1.25 to Rs 51, 7087 lost Rs 1 to Rs 51 and Sabic 50026 quoted at Rs 55 Polypropylene injection Saudia down Rs 1 to Rs 45, India shed Rs 1 to Rs 45 and Kuwait down Rs 1 to Rs 45, High impact (per bag) Pak quoted at Rs 2875 and ABS Polylac 707 lost Rs 25 to Rs 2225.
