Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) has built 62 one room temporary residential accommodations for the earthquake-affected families of the workers in Azad Kashmir and built two schools for their children in Mansehra and Balakot for promotion of education as well as developed vocational education and training for the female children.
Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary averred that numerous families of the workers were provided free tents and blankets as token of solidarity towards the affected workers in the tremor hit areas. He was talking to media here on Sunday after his return from Balakot, Azad Kashmir, Batgram areas where he went to assess the current requirement of the affected workers and their families. The delegation which went along with him in tremor affected areas included Zahoor Awan and Osama Tariq, Deputy General Secretary, Muhammad Ramazan and Saeed Lodhi and other office bearers of the federation. Khurshid Ahmed has urged upon President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to order reconstruction.
